The Queen of Fruits - Mangosteen
After introducing the King of Fruits in my previous post, now it's time for the Queen. I'll try to introduce as many Malaysia's tropical fruits as I can in this blog. ;)
- Mangosteen (山竹 in Chinese Language)
- Known as manggis in Bahasa Malaysia [Malaysia's National Language])
- Also known as the Queen of Fruits because of its 'cooling' properties (compared to the durian which is 'heaty')
- Sweet, slightly sour, juicy

I've never eaten this or even seen it anywhere, but I'm very curious about it! That combination of sweet and slightly sour intrigues me.
PS: It looks so cute, like a puffy little cushion.
