20 Nov - Happy Universal Children's Day
20112009 - Today is Universal Children's Day...
The year 2009 also mark the 20 years anniversary of The Convention On The Rights Of The Child, a treaty made in 1989 to make this world a better place for children, and to create a positive environment for them to grow up in.
They have their rights; they are entitled to food, education, health care, protection, etc - these are the society's responsibility!! Coming to think of it, are we really doing all we can to protect these little ones?
Abandoned babies, child abuse, kidnapping & murder, children deprived of food & education are always on the news nowadays! Its so sad when you come across these news :( Are these signs of moral decay in our society?
Children are the country's asset. They are our future. It is our duty to ensure every child is free from hunger, neglect & abuse. We should promote their welfare and uphold their human rights! Hope I can do my part for the community as well....
I miss my anak-anak.... =) hope they are doing well now....
